   The Youth Educated in Safety program was founded in September of 1994 following the abduction, assault,
   and murder of 12-year-old Cora Jones. A task force was developed by concerned community individuals
   and friends and families of Cora Jones, Amy Breyer, and Laurie Depies. Y.E.S. Inc. is a 501.c3 tax
   exempt non-profit organization.

   ALL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WE OFFER ARE FREE TO THE COMMUNITY BUT WE RELY ON    SPONSORSHIPS AND DONATIONS TO COVER THE MINIMAL COSTS.

ISS:    Our internet safety stations are developed and designed to help teach children and their families

about both the values and the pitfalls on the internet.These,"stations" intergrate user friendly web                   designed internet safety programs as well as support and educational information developed by Youth Educated in Safety.  These Stations are sponsored by; The Green Bay Packers Foundation,  J.J. Keller and Associates and the Guardian.

Teresa's Room:

Teresa Halbach Disappeared October 31, 2005.  In the following week her remains were recovered and identified.  Youth Educated in Safety was involved in the search for Teresa and the impact of her story has left a lasting impact on what we do and how we do it.  In the following month, Y.E.S. adopted the search for missing and exploited adults into our mission.  Teresa's room is dedicated in her memory to help assist us address the needs of a family of a missing person.  We thank the, Midday Professional Womens Association for their support in helping to make this possible.

   Resources
   Youth Educated in Safety offers:
   Resource materials, handouts, referrals, tipsheets, and brochures on child safety.

   Education and awareness programs for school, parent, community and civic organizations, and
   professional groups on child safety and abduction issues.

   Y.E.S. will provide a speaker to make presentations at:
   *Schools & Daycares
   *Parent Groups
   *Civic and Community Organizations
   *Professional Groups
   *Workplace


   Experienced personnel to assist families, volunteer groups, child service
   agencies and law enforcement.

   Y.E.S. also provides educational materials such as:
   *Handouts
   *Tip Sheets
   *Brochures
   *Coloring Books


   Y.E.S. hosts an annual poster contest at the elementary school level with the theme of stranger
   awareness and personal safety. Six winners have their posters printed on book covers to be distributed
   for the following school year.

   Services
   KidCare ID:
   *KidCare was put together by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Polaroid
   Corporation. It was designed to provide a document that includes space for a Polaroid photo and
   emergency information. This document can be the most important tool in helping to find a missing child.

   DNA LifePrint ID
   *DNA LifePrint is a noninvasive home DNA testing kit that was developed by ChildTrace International, Inc.
   and is endorsed by John Walsh of America's Most Wanted. The kit is quick, painless, and easy to use.
   The DNA sample is acquired by swabbing the child's cheek for 10 seconds.
