Youth Educated in Safety (Y.E.S.), Wisconsin’s senior non-profit organization addressing the issues of missing persons, established the Wisconsin Missing Person’s Fund.  The purpose of the Fund is to assist Wisconsin families of missing persons during hardship.

Jay Breyer, Y.E.S. Founder and Director of Search and Support, provided a lead gift of $1,000 to start the Fund.  “Everyday we deal with families of missing persons in some capacity.  Some suffer financial duress in addition to all the emotions and uncertainties of missing a loved one,” Breyer said.

“It’s our goal to challenge the community and residents of Wisconsin to support this fund and help us raise $25,000,” Breyer added.  Breyer hopes to raise this amount by September 5, 2008, Wisconsin Missing Children’s Day. Fox Communities Credit Union (FCCU) will hold discretionary dividends and help launch the account.  Y.E.S. plans to work with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region to establish and manage an endowment with this Fund once the goal is met.

Donations are accepted at any Fox Communities Credit Union branch throughout the Fox Valley or at Y.E.S., 14 Tri-Park Way, Building One, P.O. Box 773, Appleton, WI  54912.
